About Singhara Atta Puri

Ingredients
- Singhara (Water Chestnut) Flour1 cup
- Oil (for frying)for deep frying
- Cumin Powder1/2 tsp
- Black Pepper1/4 tsp
- Saltto taste
- Wateras needed
How to make it
- 1Mix 1 cup singhara (water chestnut) flour with salt, black pepper, and cumin powder.
- 2Add warm water gradually and knead into a smooth, crack-free dough. Rest for 5 minutes.
- 3Divide into 8 equal portions. Roll each into a small ball and flatten into 3-inch discs using your palm (do not use a rolling pin as dough is delicate).
- 4Heat oil for deep frying on medium heat. Gently slide in puris one at a time. Fry until puffed and light golden on both sides.
- 5Drain on paper towels. Serve hot with curd or any Jain-friendly sabzi.
